Winner from Austurbæjarskóli

The short story competition of FEKÍ (Association of English Teachers in Iceland) is held annually for students of primary school and secondary school. The competition theme is typically announced on European Day of Languages in September. Students in grades 7-10 at Austurbæjarskóli participate each year. The short stories must be written in English and relate to a specific theme; this year, it was EPIPHANY (UPPLJÓMUN in Icelandic).

 

This year's competition winner is from Austurbæjarskóli, Járngerður Þórgnýsdóttir, 9th grade RA, and she won in her division, grades 8-10. Her English teacher is Sigríður Helga Sverrisdóttir.
