Volcano erupts

For their final science project, ninth-grade students built a volcano and made it erupt by mixing vinegar and baking soda. To get the red color, students added red food coloring. Adding a squirt of dish soap helps the eruption last a little longer. 

Working in groups, the class built five volcanoes — and every one of them erupted with impressive flair.
