Valur Interschool Games 2026

On Mar. 18, Austurbæjarskóli students participated in the annual interschool games for grades 7-7 at the Valur sports club. The competition brought together students from Austurbæjarskóli, Háteigsskóli, and Hlíðaskóli. This event is always a highlight for mid-level students. Excitement consistently runs high before, during, and after the competition. That was especially true this year when our students capped off the event by winning the TEAM TROPHY , awarded to the best overall team. It is a highly coveted prize—and, by some accounts, the most important one of all. We intentionally teach our students to support one another and build the positive connections that unite and strengthen a team—and this recognition clearly reflects those efforts.
